London by Night
Just yesterday I had my first night photography course.

So in this post you will for the first time find photos that are shot by me with a proper camera, and not with my random camera phone which produced my pictures of all previous posts:
Struggling with the tower's glassy facade and its sophisticated architecture throughout the evening made it finally possible to obtain St. Paul´s Cathedral AND the Tower of London on ONE photograph (BEFORE (!) using Photoshop), even though both are located at the edge of nearly opposite directions with my base, the Heron Tower, in the middle.
In this picture above you can see 'the Gherkin' in the fore right with the Tower Bridge and the Tower of London in the background. This 591 ft tall building looks actually quite small and tiny if you can look down on it from the Heron Tower ...
... the far-away shard still looks pretty massive though and glass reflections are persistent ...
... I assume life is about perspectives again.
The nice surroundings, the abundant amount of camera targets and the impressive view made it quite impossible to leave ...
... even though I was looking forward to the ride in this superspeedy lift again since I rode it up at the beginning of the evening

Even the best camera cannot convey this, I guess. But I gave it a try, of course:

Unfortunately, staying for so long was not possible ... And most of this picture' s brightness in the background is triggered by the massive light pollution this crazy city creates anyhow ...
It' s incredible.
After this night of experimenting I am again really, really, really tempted to treat myself with a real photocamera. Let' s see ...
